International Airport Ezeiza: An international hall up to the standards of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the capital cities of America

(By Infonegocios Argentina in co-creation with Marcelo Maurizio) The new departure hall at Ezeiza looks beautiful! With a US$ 230 million investment, the Argentine construction company GCDI recently completed the construction of the new departure hall at the Ezeiza terminal, with a surface area of 45,000 m2. The aim of this new building is to unify check-in spaces and it will have the capacity to process 30 million passengers per year.

The new departure hall has 150 check-in counters and commercial premises, a first-floor "Zeppelin" with an internal structure and enclosure where airport control and passenger immigration tasks will be carried out, and two underground levels for airline operations, airport police, and maintenance.

"We are very proud to have successfully completed this project, and we are confident that the new departure hall will be a great contribution to the Ezeiza terminal," said Alejandro Belio, CEO of GCDI, adding: "This type of development undoubtedly goes in line with our main objective: to develop constructions that improve people's lives, as we have been doing for more than 80 years."

GCDI was the main contractor for the project and was responsible for executing tasks such as masonry and finishing work, furnishings, ironwork, plumbing, structural work, among others. 2,500 people were employed directly and indirectly during its execution, which began in mid-2018 and resumed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Infonegocios inaugurated the new international hall with Aerolíneas Argentina flight 1302, direct from Buenos Aires and Miami. On par with Colombia, Mexico, and Miami, the new hall puts Buenos Aires at the top of airport structures in America.

We experienced an impressive place where everything is very modern, spacious, and well connected. The gastronomic offer is diverse, the services are excellent, and the participation of brands, screens, and furniture gives the user an ideal stay that becomes pleasant.

As always, McDonald's understands everything and far from focusing on META and Google, it bets on invading digital OOH spaces, interactive spaces, and of course, points of sale, where the golden arches are clearly visible wherever you are.

LG, Samsung, and VW are also protagonists of a presence that many brands will surely join, perhaps in one of the most impressive halls in all of America.

Both for Argentines and foreigners, there is a great temptation to buy at very low prices in Argentina's duty-free shops, if they are "pesified"... and a tip from Infonegocios Miami, search the internet for Duty-free Buenos Aires, Ezeiza and with patience when making your purchases having a flight, you can access a great additional discount of 15%.

Buenos Aires had been stalling this development for many years, which was "managed" and planned in advance, but now it is a reality that celebrates every tourist or Argentine. Congratulations!
