Miami hosts Leaders League Alliance Summit 2024: Innovation and Law on the Global Stage

(By Estela Rotmistrovsky) Leaders League, a company belonging to the Ficade Group, held June 25 in Miami the Summit 2024, which brought together more than 500 business, legal and innovation leaders to discuss current and future trends in international business.

Leaders League, a Groupe Ficade company, held yesterday (25) the 2024 edition of the Leaders League Alliance Summit: Law & Innovation, its annual international gathering of corporate, legal and innovation business leaders. After 14 years in New York and Paris, the city of Miami was chosen as the Summit’s new stage, hosting 19 conferences throughout the day and assembling over 500 participants.

Groupe Ficade's President, Gaël Chervet, stated "I believe it is essential to have a platform that facilitates exchange between lawyers from around the world. The summit opened with a keynote,”One World Many Cultures” addressing diversity in international business with Rodrick Miller (Miami-Dade Beacon Council) Leigh-Ann Buchanan (Miami-Dade Innovation Authority), Daniel L. Morriss (Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP), Ana Maria Barton (Florida Bar Association International Section).

Throughout the day, the panel sessions on compliance management, business law, dispute resolution, IP, Greentech, M&A, data sovereignty, AI, well-being, ethics and more gathered over 70 international speakers who shared their expertise, insights and best practices with an interactive discussion with the audience on current business trends.

The Summit also featured the LegalTech Show that showcased new digital solutions and gave participants the opportunity to meet tech savvy legal professionals and key players in the digital legal revolution to discuss the current and future challenges related to managing the legal profession, as well as the latest technological advances.

  • A day focused on building alliances and debating the vital issues of today’s world, we also celebrated legal excellence with two awards ceremonies in an awards luncheon and the cocktail dinner.

  • At the luncheon the Legal & IP Departments Awards distinguished the top performances of the past year from Latin America, US, Europe and Asia. The result of a diligent award process involving more than 120 jurors.

  • The 2024 edition concluded with the cocktail dinner honoring the best law firms and IP advisors from around the world in 29 categories.
