"It is a privilege for us to celebrate our 25th anniversary in Miami," said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, in an official statement. The choice of Miami as the venue for this commemorative edition highlights the special significance that the city holds for the Academy, as it is home to its main offices.
This will be the third time that Miami hosts the ceremony, with previous editions in 2003 and 2020, the latter being virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava emphasized the importance of this event for the community, stating that Miami is "the cultural capital of Latinos in the United States." The ceremony will be broadcast live on Univision and will have the collaboration of Miami-Dade County and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB).
In addition to the main gala, Miami will host a series of special events leading up to the awards ceremony, including the announcement of nominees on September 17th. These events will serve as a platform to highlight the cultural and musical richness of the city, reaffirming its position as the epicenter of Latin entertainment.
With this return to Miami, the Latin Grammy Awards celebrate not only a quarter century of history, but also their unique connection to the vibrant Latin music scene. The ceremony promises to be an unforgettable spectacle that will bring together the best and brightest of the music industry in an atmosphere filled with energy and excitement.
