Navigating Miami (Downtown) During the Ultra Music Festival from March 22nd to 24th

(By Maqueda and Screpante)The ultra-famous Ultra festival in Miami attracts crowds from all over the world, along with practically every big name in electronic music. This year's edition will once again take the stage at Bayfront Park, in the heart of Miami, featuring some returning names like Calvin Harris, who haven't been present for years. Additionally, the 2024 lineup includes debuts from contemporary artists like Peggy Gou and SVDDEN DEATH, alongside the mainstay artists that festival regulars know and love.

Details for Navigation:

  • Ultra Music Festival Dates:

    • From March 22nd to 24th, 2024.

    • Most of Bayfront Park will be closed during this period, but the playground and dog park will remain open until Monday, March 18th.

  • Ultra Customer Care Hotline:

    • Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from March 6th to April 2nd. The number is +1 (786) 767 7272.

  • Additional Events:

    • Miami Heat has games scheduled on Friday, March 22nd, at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 24th, at 6:00 p.m.

    • The Adrienne Arsht Center will host events at the Ziff Ballet Opera House during the festival weekend.

  • Road Closures:

    • From Thursday, March 21st, at 10:00 p.m. to Monday, March 25th, at 6:00 a.m.

    • Biscayne Boulevard will have traffic diversions in both north and south directions, with a strict closure from 12:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. for pedestrians.

  • Alternative Transportation Options:

    • Trains and Public Transport: Metromover and Metrorail will extend their services. Tri-Rail and Brightline will also have extended schedules.

    • Freebee Downtown Circulator: Special route during the festival weekend.

  • Parking:

    • All Miami Parking Authority lots will be open and operational as usual.

  • Shared Rides:

    • Designated drop-off and pick-up zones at E 1st Ave and E 2nd Ave.

  • Extended Hours for Miami DDA’s Safety Walk Program:

    • Free safety walks offered by Miami DDA’s Downtown volunteers from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. from March 22nd to 24th. Call +1 (305) 415 3896 to request a walk

 

Dossier : Trains and Public Transport:

  • Metromover and Metrorail expect 200,000 passengers throughout the weekend. Service on Friday, March 22nd, and Saturday, March 23rd will be extended until 2:00 a.m. the following morning, and on Sunday, March 24th, until midnight.

  • Tri-Rail and Brightline will also extend their hours:

    • On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the last Brightline night trains depart from Miami Central Station at 1:00 a.m. On Sunday night, at 11:00 p.m.

    • Tri-Rail will have special night trains departing around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings and at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night.

  • Freebee Downtown Circulator will operate a special festival route. The map below shows operating hours:

    • Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

    • Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

    • Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
