Tatore, where Italian culinary passion turns you into a true fan (the favorite spot of celebrities and soccer fans alike)

(By Maurizio and Maqueda with the MotorHome team). Tatore shines brightly and has established itself among Miami’s most celebrated dining destinations, becoming a go-to spot for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. This “veramente italiano” restaurant, soon to celebrate its tenth anniversary, is renowned for its homestyle approach and is led by founder’s granddaughter, Agustina D'Apolito, who is the granddaughter of the iconic Freddo ice cream founder.

"¡¡La capitale d'Italia è Roma!! … e il tempio della cucina italiana a Miami è Tatore."

Tatore is quickly celebrating its 10th year in the culinary scene, and today it’s the favorite restaurant of celebrities thanks to its “homemade” vibe. Check out the video of our visit when we went totally crazy for Tatore! (We all left speaking a mix of Italian and Argentine slang, with a Miami twist).

It’s a classic Miami mash-up—Italian and Argentine families blending their roots, creating a winning combo that’s already a hit across Florida. It’s a familiar success story that’s played out in Buenos Aires and all over Argentina, and now, with many Argentine and Latin American migrants making Miami their home, this cultural melting pot is thriving.

We’ve enjoyed countless meals with the MotorHome team and friends—this place is pure paradise. The stuffed fugazzeta pizza and arugula and prosciutto pizza are simply divine. Highly recommended!

The Taste of “Fatto in Casa” in Miami

Tatore, a culinary gem that’s been winning hearts for eight years with its authentic approach, offers a menu that pays tribute to traditional Italian cooking. Their standout offerings include homemade pasta, pizzas, salads, milanesas, desserts, and artisanal gelato.

What makes Tatore special is its unwavering commitment to homemade quality. Every dish is infused with that unique flavor only achieved through dedication and passion.

The D'Apolito Family Legacy

Agustina D'Apolito, a Business Economics graduate who previously worked for multinationals, decided to pursue her culinary dreams and trained as a Pastry Chef.

Her career shift led her to create Tatore in the U.S., a restaurant that honors her grandfather, the legendary Salvador “Tatore” Guarracino. Along with her family, she helped build the renowned Freddo empire.

As Agustina puts it, “Tatore was what we called my grandfather, and this place is an extension of our love for Italian tradition and homemade food.”

A Celebrity Hangout

Tatore has become a hotspot for celebrities, especially Argentines living in or visiting Miami. Notables like Lali, Jimena Barón, Pampita, Paula Chávez, the Latorre family, China Suárez, and Gimena Accardi have all enjoyed the Italian delights and the warm hospitality Tatore offers.

Located at 14730 Biscayne Blvd, North Miami Beach, the restaurant is open daily from 12 PM to 10:30 PM, inviting guests to experience authentic Italian cuisine. The secret to Tatore’s success lies in its passion for homemade dishes and its dedication to keeping Italian tradition alive in Miami.

At Tatore, every plate tells a story—one that reflects the D'Apolito family heritage and their passion for authentic Italian food. As they celebrate their eighth year, Tatore remains a place where food lovers can indulge in the flavors of Italy in a cozy, family-friendly environment.

Without a doubt, Tatore is a must-visit for anyone passionate about great food in Miami!

Miami, the city that blends cultural influences from around the world, also boasts a vibrant culinary scene that attracts locals and visitors alike.
