Copa América 2024: Argentina celebrated its July 9th (Independence Day) doubly in the USA and advanced to the final

(By Diego Canepa with the collaboration of Ortega and Maqueda, from the AFA Albiceleste museum and fanzone) At Bayside Marketplace, South Beach, Orlando, in New Jersey, and in dozens of locations in the USA, Argentina, the local team, celebrated like never before its commemoration of July 9th, its Independence Day, singing and celebrating a football culture that holds the title of "Albiceleste passion." In an exciting match played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Argentina secured its place in the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América™ by defeating Canada with a score of 2-0. Goals from Julián Álvarez and Lionel Messi were enough to seal the Albiceleste's victory and advance one step closer in their quest for a back-to-back championship in the tournament.

The goal in the 9th minute... like Julián, on July 9th, here.

The match began at a frantic pace, with both teams showing determination in search of a goal. It was Julián Álvarez who opened the scoring for Argentina in a brilliant move that recalled his outstanding performance in the 2022 World Cup. From that moment on, the Albiceleste took control of the game and created several goal-scoring opportunities, with Lionel Messi once again demonstrating his quality and experience in key moments.

Messi's goal, here.

In the second half, Messi extended Argentina's lead after a team play involving Rodrigo de Paul and Enzo Fernández, culminating in the 14th goal of the Argentine star's career in the Copa América. With a 2-0 advantage, Argentina managed the game intelligently and secured their fifth final appearance in the last five editions of the tournament.

Dibu... he was outstanding, it seemed like there were two goalkeepers in the Argentine goal:

Now, the team led by Lionel Scaloni is preparing to face the winner of the exciting match between Colombia and Uruguay in the grand final to be held on July 14th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Meanwhile, Canada will have the opportunity to compete for third place against the team that loses the other match.

The outstanding performance of Lionel Messi, who was named the Superior Player of the Match by MICHELOB ULTRA, reflects his importance in the Argentine national team's setup and his commitment to the team's success. With the possibility of achieving a new title in his career, Messi and his teammates will look to give their all on the field to lead Argentina to the top once again.
