Apple's New Store in Miami Worldcenter to Revolutionize Shopping and Tourism

(By InfoNegocios Miami) Apple is poised to unveil its iconic brand in the Miami Worldcenter, a 27-acre urban development project set to transform the heart of Miami. The upcoming opening of this flagship Apple store, spanning an impressive 1,728 square meters, is generating excitement within the local community and beyond.

The projected impact of the Apple store at Miami Worldcenter is substantial. It is expected that the construction of the store will generate approximately 300 jobs, and once open, will provide 200 permanent positions. Additionally, the store is estimated to contribute at least $10 million in taxes to the city of Miami over the next decade.

The store's opening will not only boost the local economy but also solidify Miami as a premier destination for both tourists and residents alike. With its appealing design and innovative Apple products, the store is poised to become a landmark in the city's commercial landscape, attracting visitors from around the world.

  • The arrival of Apple at Miami Worldcenter represents more than just a retail expansion.

  • The confirmation of Apple's arrival was announced by two sources connected to the Miami Worldcenter during a Commercial Observer event in the city, where the store is expected to open its doors next year.

  • This strategic decision highlights Miami's appeal as a significant commercial destination and a constantly evolving cultural hub. The store is expected not only to offer cutting-edge products but also to create a significant impact in terms of employment and economic benefits for the city.

  • According to a lease agreement filed with Miami-Dade County and reported by Commercial Observer, the tech giant will establish its presence in a standalone single-story commercial building at 725 NE First Avenue, whose construction has been underway since November last year.

  • This $12 million development will occupy an area of 1,728 square meters (18,600 square feet) and will be strategically located at the corner of Northeast Eighth Street, within walking distance west of the Jewel Box commercial building.

  • Representations of the store were unveiled to Miami planners in 2022, with architectural plans drawn up by Gensler, a global design and architecture firm based in San Francisco, California. With a building permit issued in November, the project is already underway, and the store is expected to welcome customers as soon as next year.

Miami Worldcenter

With over 100 planned stores, including prominent names like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy's, the Miami Worldcenter is set to become a premier shopping destination. In addition to its commercial aspect, the complex will host over 3,000 apartments and condominiums, over 1 million square feet of office space, and two hotels with a total of 1,000 rooms, among other entertainment attractions such as amusement parks, cinemas, and museums.

  • Comparable to the renowned Hudson Yards in New York, the Miami Worldcenter is one of the country's most ambitious private projects. Led by master developers CIM Group, Art Falcone, and Nitin Motwani, this mixed-use proposal will encompass approximately 27,887 square meters (300,000 square feet) of retail space.

Apple's arrival adds to a list of prominent retail tenants that have already established their presence at the Miami Worldcenter. Companies like Sephora, Lululemon, and Ray-Ban are already operational, while others such as Starbucks, The Container Store, Rihanna's Savage X Fenty, and a bar concept by Nick Jonas, among others, are set to open soon.
