Washington, D.C. Becomes the Capital of Solidarity for Teletón Paraguay’s Children
The most moving aspect of the evening was its origin: a small idea from five friends with a single goal—help Teletón. That initial spark grew into a remarkable, unforgettable night where unity and generosity took the spotlight.
The event was rich in Paraguayan identity and emotion. Guests enjoyed the best Paraguayan music, traditional cuisine that won over everyone present, and moments that will linger in the heart. A work of art and a Paraguay national team jersey signed by players were auctioned, creating a vibrant spirit of collaboration.
In addition, the $100 ticket price went directly to the Teletón Foundation. One of the evening’s most powerful moments came when the life story of a child supported by Teletón was shared, allowing everyone to grasp the true impact of their contribution.
Smiles, embraces, and renewed commitment from attendees showed that Teletón transcends borders—and that every gesture can change lives.
Solidarity Felt in Miami as Well
The Consulate General of the Republic of Paraguay in Miami supported the heartfelt “From Heart to Heart” event organized in support of the Teletón Paraguay Foundation. The gathering brought together a large number of compatriots who joined the cause with joy and dedication. It was a night that celebrated Paraguayan identity through music, art, and traditional cuisine, all within a deep sense of community.
The event was attended by Consul General Tomás Bittar Navarro, Deputy Consul General Melissa Benítez, and First Secretary Rodrigo Esquivel, who underscored the importance of keeping Paraguayan solidarity alive beyond national borders.
Despite the rain, turnout was exceptional, with many people contributing to Teletón and demonstrating—once again—that Paraguayan solidarity knows no distance.
This marks the close of four solidarity events in one week across the United States, all accompanied by Teletón Foundation CEO Víctor Ibarrola, following gatherings in New York, Miami, Washington, D.C., and a benefit hosted at the Paraguayan restaurant I Love Paraguay in NYC.
What stood out most was that, beyond the Paraguayan community, generous supporters from the United States, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Germany, Armenia, Italy, Spain, El Salvador, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Brazil participated and contributed.
This Teletón Paraguay initiative in the United States is supported by the Embassy of Paraguay. Various events featured the presence of the Consul in Miami, Tomás Bittar; the Consul in New York, Fabiola Torres; the Consul in Washington, D.C., Cristian Leguizamón; and the Consul in Los Angeles, Manuel Ruiz Díaz, who is actively promoting the Teletón Raffle across the West Coast.
