Following the standout success of FANZONE AFA at Bayside Marketplace (Miami) during Copa América 2024—where more than 35,000 fans celebrated and over 9,000 gathered for an unforgettable final—it’s time to raise the bar.

World Cup 2026 is the perfect opportunity to unite communities, cultures, and passions. We’re creating vibrant celebration hubs where football becomes pure emotion, connection, and belonging.

What is a WatchParty? Etymology and definition

Origin and etymology:

“WatchParty” comes from watch (to view/to accompany) + party (festivity/gathering). It originally described social events where groups watch content simultaneously, either in person or remotely.

In digital and marketing contexts, the term gained traction to describe experiences where an audience attends—physically or virtually—to view a shared audiovisual event (matches, premieres, conferences, concerts), often with real-time interaction (chat, comments, reactions).

Operational definition:

A WatchParty is a consumption experience orchestrated by a brand, platform, or agency that coordinates simultaneous viewing of content (sports, film, streaming, live events) for a targeted audience, with brand activations, social interaction, and often participation incentives (prizes, featured comments, user-generated content).

We want every match to feel like a social festival—where fans take home memories and moments that last long beyond the final whistle.

This is a unique opportunity for cities across the U.S., shopping centers, and brands to place themselves at the heart of an activation that brings people together around sport’s most powerful values: effort, growth, and shared joy.
