As for the taste, GOAT 10 offers a refreshing and smooth flavor profile, perfect for both football and beer enthusiasts alike!
In Miami, craft breweries are on the rise, offering unique and high-quality beers that cater to the diverse tastes of the city's population. And now, amidst the excitement surrounding Lionel Messi's arrival in Miami, a group of Argentinians has found a special way to pay tribute to the football legend: they created a beer in his honor.
This beer is called "GOAT 10," a limited edition premium lager by Prison Pals Brewing Co, a brand founded by Argentinians in the United States. The can design combines black and pink colors, reflecting the colors associated with Inter Miami, the team where Messi and many other players are changing the history of Miami's football.
The idea for "GOAT 10" emerged as soon as it was known that Messi would come to Miami. The creators wanted to do something to honor him, aiming for the beer to resemble as closely as possible the jersey worn by the Miami football team. Hence the number 10 and the name "Greatest Of All Time," perfectly representing Messi's legendary status. Juan Pipkin, one of the creators of the beer, shared this with Filo.news.
The story of Prison Pals Brewing Co began when a young man named Gastón Edul moved to the United States in search of a new life in 2019. Upon arrival, he started his brewing project, contacting some brewing friends he had in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, to help shape the vision of Prison Pals Brewing Co. Finally, together with Matías Moroni, Gabriel Sarasqueta, and Diego Setti, they rented a warehouse and took care of the technical and legal aspects of their business. In May 2021, they launched their first beer, marking the beginning of their brewing adventure.
Over time, their beers gained popularity and recognition, even receiving international praise for the quality of their products. Their lager, which has now transformed into GOAT 10, was chosen as the best in Florida in its category.
The impact of the Messi-inspired beer has been immense in Miami. The first batch of 400 boxes sold out in a matter of hours, and the excitement for this limited edition continues to grow. They are now preparing an additional 700 boxes to be sold before Messi's official presentation next Sunday.
This craft beer not only pays tribute to a football icon but also highlights the ingenuity and creativity of the Argentine community in Miami. It shows how craft beer has become an integral part of Miami's culinary and cultural landscape, offering unique experiences and flavors to both locals and visitors. The success of GOAT 10 exemplifies the thriving craft beer market in Miami, where innovation and passion continue to drive industry growth.
According to the statement, it's clear that Juan Pipkin, the CEO of Prison Pals, hasn't lost sight of his Argentine heritage while paying tribute to his love and passion for football. In fact, the company's idea began in Argentina, when Juan partnered with co-founder Bruno and master brewer Diego before establishing themselves in Doral. Their ultimate wish is for Messi himself to have the opportunity to savor the specially crafted beer.
The new beer is currently available at Prison Pals taverns in Doral, Oakland Park, and Exit One in Florida City.
