In the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, Martínez shone brightly as he was awarded the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament, keeping his goal unbeaten most of the time and only conceding once under pressure, in the draw against Ecuador. His impeccable performance resulted in just one goal conceded throughout the competition, once again demonstrating his mastery between the posts.
