But it wasn't all smooth sailing for Verstappen, as Lewis Hamilton, the experienced Mercedes driver, showcased his skills by overtaking Carlos Sainz in a daring move on the track. Hamilton secured second place, showing that he is ready to fight for the championship.

And what about George Russell! The young talent from Mercedes staged a spectacular comeback, climbing from 12th place to the third step of the podium. Undoubtedly, an impressive performance that demonstrates his potential in the pinnacle of motorsport.

On the other hand, Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz had a solid performance, crossing the finish line in fifth place. However, he was surpassed by Checo Pérez, who made an impressive comeback after failing to reach Q3 in Saturday's qualifying.

Fernando Alonso, the beloved Spanish driver, had a challenging day in Montmeló, as his car didn't show the expected speed. Nevertheless, the Asturian didn't give up and fought until the end, managing to finish in seventh place. His teammate, Lance Stroll, had a good start, reaching third place in the first lap, but later dropped to sixth.
