“Following a record-setting World Baseball Classic in 2023, loanDepot Park proved it is the home of international baseball, and we are proud to bring this incredible tournament back to South Florida, the premier destination for top-tier global events,” said Miami Marlins Chairman and Principal Owner Bruce Sherman. “It is an honor to once again host all three rounds, including the prestigious final, and on behalf of our entire team and the greater Miami metropolitan area, I would like to express our gratitude to Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association for this recognition.”

In 2026, it will again host matches across all three rounds, culminating in the Championship Game.

  • Pool D of the first round at the stadium includes the Dominican Republic, Israel, the Netherlands, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. The quarterfinals at the stadium, featuring advancing teams from Pools C and D, will take place on March 13 and 14, while the semifinals and finals will be played from March 15 through 17.

World Baseball Classic (WBCI) announced the Stadiums for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

  • The sixth edition of the Classic, scheduled for March 2026, will be held at loanDepot Park, home of the Miami Marlins in Florida; Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros in Texas; the Tokyo Dome in Japan; and Estadio Hiram Bithorn in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

  • LoanDepot Park in Miami—which became the first venue in tournament history to host games in all three rounds of the World Baseball Classic in the same year in 2023—will again host matches across all three rounds in 2026, culminating with the Championship Game.

“The success and visibility of last year’s World Baseball Classic was a clear example of the impact of sport, destination promotion, multiculturalism, and our distinctive reputation as a melting pot for all of it,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB). “Having the honor and opportunity to host again speaks volumes about Miami’s continued ascent as a capital and gateway for sport and entertainment and the tourism economy it helps drive.”

As part of the exemplary benefits of Marlins Membership, 2024 Members who maintain their status through 2026 will receive priority access and best pricing for World Baseball Classic tickets. Marlins Members enjoy presale priority for WBC 2026 tickets and packages, as well as early pricing.

  • Minute Maid Park will host the World Baseball Classic for the first time in the event’s history. The venue will become the ninth Major League ballpark to host World Baseball Classic games, joining Chase Field in Phoenix (2006, 2013, 2023); Petco Park in San Diego (2006, 2009, 2017); Angel Stadium in Anaheim (2006); Rogers Centre in Toronto (2009); Dolphin Stadium in Miami (2009); Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles (2009, 2017); Oracle Park in San Francisco (2013); and loanDepot Park in Miami (2013, 2017, 2023).

  • “We are excited and honored to host World Baseball Classic games for the first time,” said Jim Crane, Owner and Chairman of the Astros. “Houston is a global city with the best baseball fans, and we are proud to welcome fans from around the world to see international competition at Minute Maid Park. Thank you to MLB, the MLBPA, and the city of Houston for their support; we look forward to an exciting tournament in 2026.”

  • The Tokyo Dome, which has hosted groups in each of the five previous editions of the World Baseball Classic (2006, 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2023), will once again host first-round games in 2026. “It is a great pleasure for us to host the World Baseball Classic 2026 in Tokyo for the sixth consecutive time since the inaugural games in 2006,” said Takashi Yamada, General Manager of Cultural and Sports Projects at Yomiuri Shimbun. “We would like to express our deepest respect to WBC Inc. for their efforts in organizing the 2026 tournament. The previous tournament in 2023, in which the Japanese national team became world champions, generated great excitement in Japan, and the increase in the number of children interested in baseball was a tremendous benefit to the baseball world. We will do our utmost to bring the excitement and inspiration of the World Baseball Classic to the world once more, and to ensure the success and further development of the tournament.”

  • Estadio Hiram Bithorn will again host the World Baseball Classic in 2026 after serving as a first-round venue in 2006, 2009, and 2013. “We are deeply grateful and filled with pride to once again be selected as one of the host venues for the World Baseball Classic 2026,” said Anaymir “Tuti” Muñoz, Vice President of MB Sports. “Celebrating the 20th anniversary of this prestigious tournament in Puerto Rico, where MB Sports had the honor of producing one of the rounds in 2006, is a wonderful gift to Puerto Rico. We have been at the forefront of Major League Baseball on the island for over 23 years, establishing ourselves as the country’s premier sports producer. We promise an unprecedented event that will not only honor our rich baseball history but also usher in an exciting future. Baseball fans in Puerto Rico and around the world should be prepared for an unforgettable experience.”

In 2023, the field expanded to 20 teams for the first time in tournament history. The 16 teams that finished in the top four of their respective groups in the first round of the 2023 Classic are invited to play in 2026 and will be joined by four teams advancing from the 2025 Qualifiers.
