Colombia debuts with a victory against Paraguay in the 2024 Copa America with a super exciting encounter (Check out the amazing goals!)

By Ortega) In an exciting start to the 2024 Copa America, the Colombian national team achieved an important victory over Paraguay with a score of 2-1 in the first match of Group D. Under the guidance of Néstor Lorenzo, Colombia demonstrated their offensive power from the beginning of the match, with standout performances from key players such as Daniel Muñoz and Jefferson Lerma, who scored the goals that secured the Colombian triumph.

The NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, was painted yellow with the massive presence of passionate Colombian fans, creating a vibrant and passionate atmosphere throughout the match.

Daniel Muñoz's goal at the 32nd minute, after a precise header from a pass by James Rodríguez, marked the beginning of Colombia's advantage. Subsequently, Jefferson Lerma extended the lead with another header goal before halftime, consolidating the Colombian team's superiority on the field.


Despite Paraguay's consolation goal scored by Julio Encizo, Colombia managed to maintain the lead and secure the victory in their debut in the 2024 Copa America.

The next match for Los Cafeteros is against Costa Rica at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on June 28, while Paraguay will face Brazil at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, also on June 28.
