From Argentina: Milei and Villarruel raise their voices against child trafficking: inspired by "sound of freedom"

(By Juan Maqueda and Marcelo Maurizio) In a remarkable display of commitment to combat child trafficking, Argentine presidential candidate Javier Milei and his running mate Victoria Villarruel from the La Libertad Avanza party have taken a significant step. The question remains: why haven't the rest of the political parties in Argentina and across the Americas done the same? Their decision was spurred by their experience with the impactful film "Sound of Freedom," leading them to sign a powerful pledge, aligning themselves with global leaders like Trump and Bukele.

Shifting Boundaries for a Worthy Cause

Thanks to the efforts of political consultant and advisor for La Libertad Avanza, Fernando Cerimedo, Milei and Villarruel had an emotional encounter with Eduardo Verástegui, the renowned actor and producer of the widely acclaimed film "Sound of Freedom." This film delves into the complexities of child trafficking networks, shedding light on hidden truths.

Verástegui, who is considering a presidential run in Mexico, brought along a copy of the Commitment Letter for Promoting Actions to Eradicate Child Trafficking for Sexual Exploitation and Organ Trafficking. This document, signed by Milei and Villarruel, has already been adopted by former U.S. President Donald Trump and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele. This united commitment underscores their determination to tackle this serious issue should they come into power in this year's elections.

A Gathering of Minds for Change

Following the signing ceremony, Victoria Villarruel, Eduardo Verástegui, Nahuel Sotelo from La Libertad Avanza, filmmaker and campaign publicist Santiago Oría, the aforementioned Fernando Cerimedo, and other distinguished guests headed to a private screening room. There, they watched "Sound of Freedom," the very movie that catalyzed this powerful initiative.

"Sound of Freedom": A Story of Courage and Resilience

"Sound of Freedom," a captivating film based on true events, narrates the life of Tim Ballard, a former federal agent who left his government post to rescue children trapped in trafficking networks. Ballard's bravery in exposing the collusion of the U.S. government with some of the world's largest pedophilia rings is heroic and revealing. He founded Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), a globally influential charity dedicated to combating human trafficking.

Produced by Angel Studios and directed by the talented Alejandro Monteverde, the film is supported by Eduardo Verástegui and the legendary Mel Gibson. The film's lead, Tim Ballard, is portrayed by none other than Jim Caviezel, known for his role in "The Passion of the Christ."

As the story unfolds, the audience follows Ballard's transition from government agent to determined advocate. Without revealing spoilers, a crucial mission in Colombia introduces him to a seven-year-old child who unveils the intricate web of political and economic interests facilitating pedophilia. This encounter propels Ballard on a life-changing journey as he navigates the depths of the Colombian jungle to rescue the kidnapped sister of the child.

When Cinematic Power Inspires Real-World Change

The film's narrative is based on the actual operation known as "Triple Take," a case familiar to former CIA agent Matt Osborne. Ballard's resignation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and his determined mission to rescue abused children are authentically portrayed. The film reflects his desperate attempts to raise concerns to his superiors, who sadly turn a blind eye due to intertwined interests and severe corruption.

Although originally produced by 21st Century Fox, the film was transferred to Angel Studios when Disney acquired the company. Despite Disney's refusal to release "Sound of Freedom," Angel Studios obtained distribution rights for under $5 million. The film resonates particularly with right-leaning audiences, as it highlights a concern deeply connected to their values.

An Inspirational Journey to Raise Awareness with Echoes in Society

With an impressive $177 million gross in the U.S., Angel Studios secured international distribution rights and is gradually making its way into Latin America. The film's powerful message reverberates among those who seek change and refuse to let these issues remain hidden.
